Seal Cottage was perfect for my family of five. Plenty of room; a stunning location, and a great base from to explore the Beara Peninsula and the surrounding area.

Tomas who looks after Seal Cottage was fabulous. Really helpful, especially regarding fishing and local information we wanted to know.

We stayed as a family group for a week in June. The house is not only beautiful but very homely and has everything you could need and want. We travelled with a baby and the house was very well equipped for my 9 month old. The facilities are fantastic (sauna, pool etc) and you could not beat the setting. We hope to come back again!

From start to finish we loved this place, it was everything and more. The house was spotless and had a vast array of appliances and space. We loved the peaceful nature around it and the view! The house is stunning inside and out, wonderfully equipped, and the location is incredibly peaceful. Even though the local area has a great deal to offer, you could spend a week just relaxing in this wonderful house.

John's home is beautiful. Everything is planned to make you feel comfortable in a cozy and warm atmosphere. The site is really exceptional. Incredible calm and beauty. The kitchen is very well equipped. The fireplace is a great bonus! We enjoyed all the advantages of the house, sauna and balneotherapy, it was really very appreciated. Tomas, the concierge, was really super friendly, available and helpful to advise us on the assets of the Beara peninsula and restaurants. We hope to be able to return to John's place soon! Myself, my husband and our 4 children had an amazing holiday at Seal Cottage. The pool was so much fun and kept the kids busy for hours. We used the sauna everyday, and plunging straight into the pool after was a great way to start the day. The views were amazing, barely watched any TV because we just wanted to be outside. The area is beautiful, and the ferry to Bere Island was great fun for the kids. Highly recommend a sea swim on the strand there. Overall would absolutely recommend, we were so happy there we extended our stay for 2 more nights. Would be very happy to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at John’s house. It is a gorgeous home. The photos don’t do it justice, and they are pretty good! The conservatory is magical and even though we had a lot of rain the week we visited, it felt sunny and tropical in the conservatory. The kitchen is the most well equipped we’ve enjoyed while in an AirBNB. High end everything. It’s truly a chefs kitchen. The location is stunning. Beautiful grounds and gardening with great water views. The sauna was wonderful and truly enhanced our stay. Town is a very close drive and has everything you could want. We walked to the ferry to Bere island, and spent a wonderful day over there. Overall it was a perfect holiday despite rain nearly every day. Thank you John!
